For a steel structure with carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) bonded reinforcement, galvanic corrosion is thermodynamically favored between the carbon fiber and metal. However, understanding of corrosion behaviors and mechanisms between two materials in real atmospheric environments remains limited. This study investigated the galvanic corrosion behavior between carbon fiber and mild steel based on activation-controlled kinetics. The inhibition and facilitation factors of galvanic corrosion in an atmospheric environment were examined, including the material properties, and the dynamic environmental factors. The results revealed that the galvanic corrosion rate showing heightened sensitivity to temperature changes. The present results provide new insights regarding the corrosion and deterioration mechanism of CFRP bonded components.
专家简介:杨沐野(1989-),现任日本九州大学工学研究院副教授。2017年毕业于九州大学,获得工学博士学位后,2017.10-2024.05间担任九州大学社会基盘部门特任助教及特任副教授。
主持研究项目11项,协助承担产学研合作项目23项。目前是日本【腐食防食学会建設小委員会】,【土木学会鋼構造委員会】及【九州橋梁・構造工学研究会】的主要成员,担任Buildings特刊的客座编辑
