报告摘要:
Recovering rockets from the seafloor would be of interest to Space X in determining how a landing may have failed but in order to do so the final resting location must be known. Here we designed an experiment to predict the final landing location to improve the efficiency of salvage operations. We created a model rocket and recorded the trajectory and final landing location as the model was dropped at 0, 30, 45, 60 and 90-degree angles in a towing tank at the University of New Orleans. The trajectory was exported from the recorded video file and plotted against a numerical simulation DROBS that solved the equations of motion at discrete time intervals. We will discuss our experimental results and how they are compared with the numerical simulation.
主讲人简介:
余小川博士目前是美国新奥尔良大学(University of New Orleans)应用海洋技术实验室主任、研究员,船舶与轮机工程系助理教授。他的研究兴趣包括船舶与海洋结构物运动与响应预报,海洋工程坠物的研究,各类浮式结构物总体性能,系泊与立管系统动力学研究,海洋新能源(如风能等)以及智能材料在海洋工程中的应用研究等。目前,他正从事关于海上火箭回收、定位方面的研究。余博士曾在FloaTEC LLC, IntecSea, SBM Offshore等著名海洋工程公司担任船舶工程师,高级船舶工程师,高级水动力/锚泊系统分析师等职。他的主要教育经历如下:
