Introduction | Literature Reading: According to its research area, postgraduates should read a certain amount of Chinese or Foreign language material and master research fronts of course development during their study, integrating with tutor’s scientific research and their own need of dissertation project selection. |
VI. Postgraduate Education for Practical Applications
The discipline of ship and ocean engineering lays much emphasis on practice, and therefore, The discipline of theoretical knowledge is combined with practical ability closely. What's more, practice is a more important part. In order to take theory into practice, and work independently, all graduate students must participate in social practice actively. The course is designed to provide students for the scientific and engineering project standard and procedures, the opportunity of practicing scientific research and practical capability, which will be completed through the study of theories and participation of scientific research in the engineering practices.
Postgraduates, under the guidance of the teacher, should be trained to discovery problems, analyze issues and solve problems and scientific innovation from the scientific research work or the comprehensive technical training. Engineering practice must be applied into the dissertation. And the new knowledge or new ideas should be involved in the paper so as to guarantee the quality of their work.
