To deepen the integration of industry and education and realize the precise alignment between talent training in the shipbuilding sector and industrial demands, on the afternoon of September 30, a delegation led by Wu Yingjie, Technical Director, and Qi Yan, Assistant Minister, from China Shipbuilding Group Haizhou System Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CSSC Haizhou) visited the College of Marine Science and Engineering, Shanghai Maritime University. They carried out research and exchanges focusing on the development of shipbuilding industrial software, talent training and curriculum design for the Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering major. Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the College Party Committee, Feng Daolun, Deputy Party Secretary and Dean of the College, Guo Jiamin, Vice Dean, together with relevant faculty members from the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, attended the forum.
At the symposium, the two sides had in-depth discussions on the development needs of the shipbuilding industry and major construction, and held an appointment ceremony to present the appointment letter to Wu Yingjie, further consolidating a regular mechanism for industrial experts to participate in the college’s talent cultivation and major development. Wu Yingjie systematically introduced the latest progress of shipbuilding industrial software, and shared its current technical status and market demands based on application scenarios in ship design and manufacturing.
In the subsequent discussion session, participants focused on software applications in ship design, performance analysis and other links. Combined with the training program and curriculum arrangement of the Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering major, and based on actual corporate requirements, they mainly discussed the coherence between basic professional knowledge, software operation skills and engineering practical competence, as well as implementation approaches to integrate shipbuilding industrial software into classroom teaching, which provides important references for further optimizing the talent training scheme.
This exchange activity has enhanced mutual understanding between the college and CSSC Haizhou and laid a foundation for further cooperation on shipbuilding industrial software application and professional talent cultivation. Both sides agreed to take this exchange as an opportunity to explore a long-term cooperation mechanism in jointly-built courses, internship programs and guest lectures delivered by industrial experts. It will promote the in-depth integration of industry, university, research and application, and support the cultivation of high-quality talents.
