To thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Party building, further enhance the competence of grassroots Party workers and promote the deep integration of Party building with business operations, the College Party Committee held a special training for grassroots Party workers in 2026 at the "Red Harbor" Party Member Activity Room in the Ocean Building on the afternoon of October 14. Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the College Party Committee, attended and delivered a special lecture. Nearly 30 people, including Party branch secretaries and branch committee members of faculty and student branches, participated in the training.

Secretary Wang Weiyi delivered the opening mobilization speech and gave a special lecture titled From "Two Separate Entities" to "One Coordinated Game" — How to Promote Grassroots Party Building in Universities in the New Era. He emphasized that the key to transforming grassroots Party building from "two separate entities" to "one coordinated game" lies in methods and approaches. Efforts should be made to build Party building brands with substance, warmth and distinct identity, so that Party building moves from nominal efforts to tangible practice and from superficial engagement to heartfelt commitment. Meanwhile, he hoped that participating Party workers would keep a firm grasp on "three priorities": first, clarify the direction and understand the core connotation and essential distinction between Party building and Party affairs; second, define one's role and shift from "work generates a brand" to "brand guides work"; third, deliver results by identifying carriers, establishing mechanisms, evaluating outcomes and emphasizing refinement, so that Party building truly takes root.

At the training session, Zhang Panlong, full-time organizer of the College Party Committee, conducted special training on the duties of Party branch personnel and the procedures for developing Party members in accordance with the latest edition of the Regulations on the Work of Developing Party Members of the Communist Party of China. Xu Ling, Xu Jie, Gao Rui and Zhu Diyan respectively gave special training on the Party Branch Work Record Book, transfer of Party members' organizational relations, case analysis of Party member development procedures, the procedure of the Communist Youth League recommending outstanding applicants for Party membership, and integrated media and publicity work, and answered questions on site.

From September 15 to 29, guided by the College Party

Committee, the re-election of two student Party branches and the by-election of committee members for seven faculty-student Party branches were completed. Closely aligned with the practical needs of Party affairs, this training was rich in content and prominent in key points, both addressing shortcomings in Party affairs work and consolidating the foundation of grassroots Party work. Going forward, the college will focus on enhancing the organizational capacity of grassroots Party organizations, carry out specialized hands-on training and a series of practical study tours, fully leverage the fighting fortress role of grassroots Party organizations, continuously improve the quality and efficiency of Party building, and provide a strong organizational guarantee for the high-quality development of the college's undertakings.
