To help female engineering students build technical confidence, enhance professional competitiveness, and establish a cross-grade platform for skill sharing and experience exchange, the “Haike · ForHer” Studio of the College of Marine Science and Engineering held the themed activity of "HerTech" AI Efficiency and Visual Expression on July 9, 2026. Presided over by college counselor Zhu Diyao, the activity was delivered by counselor Peng Yujie, attracting female student representatives from undergraduate and postgraduate grades. It aims to build a dual-track skill support system empowered by AI tools and optimized visual expression.
Centering on the practical operation of AI tools and PPT visual design, the activity targeted the core competencies required for academic research, achievement presentation and competition defense. With the theme of "Efficiency Revolution for Female Engineering Students in the AI Era", Teacher Peng Yujie started with three common pain points of engineering students: literature reading, code error correction and data processing. Combining mainstream AI tools such as DeepSeek and Kimi, she demonstrated on-site how to make AI an accelerator for academic and scientific research through precise prompting. She encouraged students to break free from "tech fear", assign repetitive work to intelligent tools, and focus their minds on innovative thinking and research exploration.
Teacher Zhu Diyao delivered a special training on PPT visual thinking and efficient presentation. Aiming at three typical problems in engineering students’ PPT production, namely redundant titles, overloaded page information and disordered layout, she summarized practical and replicable design principles, including "titles as core conclusions" and "one core viewpoint per page". She also demonstrated practical skills such as master setting, professional color matching and chart optimization, helping students effectively improve the professionalism and visual presentation of academic displays.
The activity featured a warm and positive atmosphere. In the interactive session "Click! Her Moment", all participating students took instant photos to record their confident looks and wrote down self-encouraging messages on the back of the photos, recording their sincere expectations and firm determination for growth.
As the fourth brand activity launched by the "Haike · ForHer" Studio, this event follows a series of empowering activities including the "HerVoice" Eloquence Improvement Camp and themed sharing sessions. From verbal expression to practical operation, from self-display to comprehensive empowerment, the studio continuously focuses on the real growth needs of female engineering students.
In the next stage, the college studio will continue to promote the construction of excellent academic style. With skill empowerment and peer mutual assistance as the core, it will launch more diversified and targeted training activities, build a warm and high-quality growth platform for female teachers and students, and guide them to forge solid professional abilities and show youthful elegance on the road of academic growth.
