To guide student Party members and Party activists of the branch to clarify the direction of progress through study and identify their mission in practice, the Student Party Branch of Port, Waterway and Coastal Engineering recently organized its members and activists to watch online the 4th session of the Demonstrative Micro-Party Class for University Party Organizations, Answer with Solid Work and Deliver Results. The vivid micro-Party class helps young students reflect on the questions of why, for whom and how to strive, and calibrate their life direction on the new journey of building a powerful country in education.
Centered on "solid work and earnest implementation", this session was jointly presented by teachers and student Party members from China Agricultural University and other universities. The lecture reviewed the pioneering spirit of self-reliance and hard work embodied in the Nanniwan Great Production Movement, and the great feat of the Red Flag Canal where people of Lin County resolved to reshape mountains and rivers. It recounted how constructors of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway overcame world-class challenges such as plateau permafrost and harsh natural environment, and depicted generations of scientists who endured quiet research and scaled new heights in science and technology. The lecture thoroughly interpreted the spirit of Communists serving the country through hard work in different historical periods. Combined with vivid cases of scientific research in universities in the new era, the micro-Party class helps teachers and students understand the value of taking a pragmatic and action-oriented attitude, and encourages them to integrate personal pursuit into national development.
The branch will continue to help Party members and activists deepen their understanding of the spirit of solid work. Combined with summer social practice, the branch will promote the transformation of learning outcomes into practical actions of serving communities and society. Young students in the branch will be encouraged to build on their professional knowledge and devote themselves to the construction of a powerful maritime nation and a powerful shipping nation, so that they can gain insights from learning, take actions from reflection, and achieve results through practice.
