To solidly promote the special "Thousand Enterprises and Hundred Ports" summer social practice, consolidate the safety defense line, and standardize the whole process of practice achievement output, publicity and reimbursement, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a pre-departure education meeting for the 2026 summer social practice in Room 109 of the college building on July 3. Gao Rui, college counselor, as well as captains and student representatives of 26 practice teams attended the meeting.
Centering on five core modules including safety management, on-site discipline, achievement output, publicity submission and reimbursement standards, the meeting carried out targeted and standardized training to clarify the overall standards and implementation requirements for summer social practice.
In terms of safety management and discipline, the meeting clarified that each team captain shall serve as the safety liaison officer. All teams must strictly implement the daily safety report system. Students are prohibited from leaving the team or changing practice routes without permission. Daily safety feedback forms are required to synchronize on-site safety conditions in real time. Focusing on high-risk practice scenarios such as shipyards and wharf construction sites, the meeting emphasized on-site safety disciplines and risk prevention measures to effectively avoid potential safety hazards in factory operation.
In terms of practice achievements and publicity, Teacher Gao Rui systematically interpreted the overall tasks and achievement requirements of this summer social practice. Students were encouraged to collect extended materials and enrich the forms of practical achievements based on professional characteristics. Meanwhile, the college will launch a special column on the official WeChat account Youth Voice of CMSE to release practice updates and display students’ practical achievements.
In addition, the meeting elaborated on logistical supporting matters, including the arrangement of the school-level launching ceremony, collection of team flags and uniforms, stamping procedures of practice certificates, as well as the standards and specifications of travel invoices and transportation reimbursement, ensuring the standardized and efficient development of practice activities.
The pre-departure meeting has consolidated safety responsibilities, standardized working procedures and clarified development goals, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of the college’s 2026 summer social practice. In the next stage, all practice teams will go to front-line ports, shipyards and marine-related enterprises to carry out practical research. The college will continuously follow up the progress of each team, provide full support in safety supervision, publicity and logistics services, and guide students to integrate professional knowledge with social practice, temper their abilities through practical work, and contribute youthful strength to the construction of a powerful maritime nation.
