On June 30, the Teacher‑Student Party Branch of Marine Environment organized the Ecological Civilization Study Society to set up the Lecturer Group for Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization and convened its first collective lesson‑preparation meeting. The meeting was presided over by Ding Yi, Secretary of the Marine Environment Student Party Branch and part‑time faculty counselor.
The establishment of the lecturer group gives full play to the disciplinary strengths of teachers and students majoring in environmental studies, advancing the integration of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization into majors and courses. Through collective lesson preparation and joint study under the joint construction of the Party and the Communist Youth League, teachers and participants thoroughly studied the connotation, essence and practical guidelines of Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization. It lays a solid theoretical foundation for popular‑science outreach, environmental‑concept promotion and social investigation. Collective lesson preparation and joint teaching serve as an important way to deepen theoretical study, consolidate professional foundation and strengthen students’ professional identity.
Faculty Party members of the Marine Environment Department undertake the teaching of the university’s general‑education course Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization. This seminar marks a new chapter of mutual progress and professional interaction between teachers and students.
Going forward, drawing on its educational strengths, the lecturer group will publicize the significance of building a Beautiful China, a modern marine city in Shanghai and a powerful maritime nation. The group strives to be dedicated popular‑science communicators and exemplary practitioners of ecological civilization.
