On June 16, Ding Yi, Secretary of the Marine Environment Student Party Branch, Liu Xingpo, Secretary of the Marine Environment Faculty Party Branch, and Zhu Wenwu, teacher of the Marine Environment Department, went into the student community of Grade 2025 Environmental Engineering major to carry out heart-to-heart talk activities.
The three teachers mainly learned about the freshmen’s study and living conditions since entering the university. They answered students’ questions concerning academic confusion and career planning with abundant practical cases and professional experience, solving the urgent difficulties and problems of students during the critical final review period.
Teacher Ding Yi told the students that they could contact the department teachers in a timely manner whenever they encounter any difficulties in study and life. The faculty will make every effort to help students clarify their academic plans, improve professional abilities, and support them to achieve fruitful results in four years of university study, believing that all students will have a promising future.
Teacher Liu Xingpo encouraged the students to strictly abide by examination disciplines, make full use of precious study time and prepare carefully for every final exam. He also urged students to actively participate in professional activities and discipline competitions, apply professional knowledge to the construction of a powerful marine nation, and fulfill their aspirations of serving the country through scientific and technological innovation capabilities.
The students responded positively to the teachers’ earnest expectations. They stated that they were delighted to receive intimate care and guidance from professional teachers in the dormitory. Fully aware of the professional missions of college students in the new era, they promised to study diligently and strive hard, paint a wonderful youth with excellent academic performance, and boost the development of national scientific and technological innovation and marine environmental protection with fruitful research achievements.
As one of the series activities of the new one-stop student community construction model initiated by the Marine Environment Student Party Branch, the special activity of “Professional Teachers Enter Student Communities” aims to narrow the teacher-student distance, promote teacher-student communication, and improve the quality of student training and optimize the talent training model. In the future, adhering to the philosophy of “being student-oriented and empowering students’ growth”, the Marine Environment Student Party Branch will continue to serve as a solid bridge for communication between teachers and students, facilitate in-depth teacher-student exchanges, and boost professional construction as well as students’ growth and development.
