To further promote exchanges and interaction between postgraduate and undergraduate students, the Party Branch of Professional Master of Hydraulic Engineering and the Undergraduate Party Branch of Port, Waterway and Coastal Engineering jointly carried out the themed Party day activity of “One Branch, One Practical Project” in Room 109 of the Marine Science Building on June 9, 2026. Centering on the profound connotation of “perseverance” and the inheritance of learning experience, the activity featured enthusiastic discussions and in-depth exchanges.
At the beginning of the activity, Teacher Zhao, Secretary of the Party Branch of Professional Master of Hydraulic Engineering, delivered a keynote speech on the theme of “what is perseverance”. Combining her personal experience and professional learning practice, she elaborated on the vital significance of perseverance in academic research, engineering practice and the growth of Communist Party members. She pointed out that perseverance is not only a spiritual quality, but also an internal driving force for self-breakthrough and unremitting progress in the face of difficulties and challenges. She encouraged all Party members present to stay true to their original aspirations and forge ahead in future study and work.
Subsequently, several postgraduate Party members shared valuable growth experience with undergraduate Party members majoring in port, waterway and coastal engineering based on their learning experience from undergraduate to postgraduate stages. They focused on curriculum learning, scientific research methods, time management, mentality adjustment and other aspects. With real personal stories and practical suggestions, they helped undergraduates better plan their studies, clarify development goals and stimulate professional enthusiasm.
The themed Party day activity has not only strengthened the connection between the two Party branches, but also built a communication bridge between postgraduate and undergraduate students, creating a positive atmosphere of mutual assistance and common progress. Both branches will further deepen cooperation, promote the in-depth integration of Party building and academic development, and facilitate the growth and talent cultivation of student Party members.
