To further advance the education campaign on fostering and practicing a correct view of political achievements and encourage Party members to translate learning outcomes into practical actions for serving teachers and students and supporting scientific research, the Marine Materials Graduate Party Branch recently carried out a themed practical activity titled “Consolidate Safety Bottom Line, Safeguard Scientific Innovation” in the laboratory, as an in-depth implementation of the practical initiative “I Do Practical Things for Teachers and Students”.
During the activity, Sun Kai, Secretary of the Party Branch, emphasized that laboratory safety is the lifeline of scientific research. Strictly implementing standardized facility management and maintaining a clean experimental environment serve as a concrete embodiment of practicing a correct view of political achievements. Centering on laboratory safety management specifications, experimental process optimization and hidden danger inspection lists, Party members conducted in-depth discussions on experimental plans based on actual scientific research work and refined the division of safety responsibilities.
Under the leadership of the branch secretary, all Party members standardized the placement of experimental supplies, cleaned up waste and sundries, and eliminated sanitary dead corners and potential safety hazards on site.
In the centralized learning and exchange session, the branch organized special learning on laboratory safety combined with typical safety cases. It systematically illustrated the standards for classified storage, standardized access and waste disposal of hazardous chemicals, as well as the safety operating procedures, daily maintenance essentials and emergency disposal measures for special equipment such as reaction kettles. Through in-depth analysis of potential risks, all members further strengthened their awareness of safety prevention and risk control.
Going forward, the Party Branch will continue to promote the education on fostering and practicing a correct view of political achievements and carry out the “I Do Practical Things for Teachers and Students” initiative on a regular basis. It will adhere to normalized safety inspections and environmental maintenance, firmly uphold the bottom line of safety with a high sense of responsibility, continuously consolidate the solid barrier of laboratory safety, and contribute to the high-quality development of the college’s scientific research undertakings.
