On May 31, undergraduate students of the Class of 2025 from the College of Marine Science and Engineering attended a special lecture on scholarship and financial aid policies as well as social practice at the Bangjian Lecture Hall. The session was delivered by counselor Peng Yujie.
During the lecture, Teacher Peng systematically sorted out four major types of scholarship systems at the university, municipal, national and individual levels. Combined with the developmental characteristics of different grades, she provided clear and targeted guidance for students’ academic planning and personal development.
In addition, Teacher Peng encouraged students to actively participate in the University’s “Visiting Hundred Ports & Thousands of Enterprises” social practice program. She conducted rigorous education on examination discipline, clarifying the serious consequences of academic misconduct. By analyzing typical fraud cases prevalent on university campuses, she also popularized anti-fraud skills to help students strengthen their safety awareness and risk prevention capabilities.
With detailed and student-oriented content, the lecture enabled students to fully understand the selection criteria for scholarships and financial aid, clarified their learning goals, and further stimulated their enthusiasm for diligent study, self-improvement and all-round development.Written by: Liu Shuyan Photographed by: Liu Shuyan
