To thoroughly implement the Ministry of Education’s deployment of the Spring Employment Promotion Campaign and build an efficient two-way communication bridge between graduates and employers to facilitate high-quality employment for the Class of 2026, a special job fair for shipping and marine-related majors was successfully held on the second-floor hall of COSCO Library on April 29, 2026. Guided and supported by the University Career Development Center, the event was jointly organized by the College of Marine Science and Engineering and the College of Merchant Marine.

The job fair attracted 38 employers from the shipping and marine industries. Wang Weiyi, Party Secretary of the College, Feng Daolun, Deputy Party Secretary and Dean, and Dong Chaoqun, Deputy Party Secretary, attended the event and had in-depth exchanges with participating enterprises to learn about their recruitment demands. They stated that the college would further deepen school-enterprise cooperation, establish long-term collaborative mechanisms, deliver more high-quality professional talents for enterprises, and strive to provide higher-quality employment resources for graduates.

The job fair was bustling yet well-organized. Full of confidence and enthusiasm, graduates visited various booths with well-prepared resumes, actively consulting about job responsibilities, career development prospects, salary and benefits, as well as promotion paths. Recruiters patiently answered questions, gave detailed introductions to their enterprises, and conducted preliminary on-site interviews and negotiations. Many graduates reached preliminary employment intentions with participating companies.

As a key initiative of the college’s graduate employment work, the jointly-held job fair not only builds a convenient and efficient job-hunting platform for graduates and broadens their employment channels, but also creates a bridge for in-depth communication and two-way selection between the college and employers. Moving forward, the college will continue to strengthen employment-oriented education, innovate employment service models, and promote fuller and higher-quality employment for university graduates.
