Blue Voyage Guides the Way, Peer Sharing Fosters Identity —— College of Marine Science and Engineering Holds Postgraduate Admission Experience Sharing Session for Environmental Engineering Majors

To further strengthen professional identity education for freshmen majoring in Environmental Engineering and give full play to the exemplary leading role of outstanding peers, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held an environmental engineering postgraduate entrance examination experience sharing session of the Blue Voyage Guidance Program on April 7. Cai Minyang, a sophomore majoring in Environmental Engineering of the 2022 cohort, was invited as the speaker to share his postgraduate preparation experience and growth insights. All freshmen of the 2025 Environmental Engineering cohort attended the event.

Senior Cai Minyang had sincere exchanges with students covering topics including “Why choose Environmental Engineering”, “Perseverance and gains along the postgraduate entrance exam journey” and “How to translate professional identity into practical actions”. Combining his personal experience from confusion in the freshman year to firming up his academic orientation step by step, he talked about the sense of responsibility and mission brought by majoring in Environmental Engineering. When referring to his postgraduate preparation, he shared practical experience in time management, mental adjustment and decision-making at critical stages. He encouraged freshmen to set goals as early as possible and make steady accumulation, so as to deepen their understanding and passion for Environmental Engineering through practice.

The sharing session not only provided freshmen with valuable postgraduate examination preparation experience and growth advice, but also further enhanced their sense of identity and belonging to the Environmental Engineering major. It encouraged students to engage in professional study with firmer confidence and make full preparations for future further study and career development.
