To further strengthen the educational function of the one-stop student community and build a regular communication platform between teachers and students, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held the first "Face-to-Face with Teachers" on-site Q&A session of the new semester in the activity room of Building 60 on March 30. Liang Zhifu from the Department of Environmental Science was invited to deliver the tutoring session.
Drawing on his rich academic experience, Teacher Liang Zhifu analyzed in depth the features, opportunities and challenges of pursuing postgraduate studies and taking civil service and public institution exams, guiding students to make rational choices based on their personal interests and majors. In terms of academic learning, he took the course CAD Computer Aided Drafting as an example to illustrate the specific requirements and core application scenarios of this skill in marine environment studies. He also stressed the vital role of academic performance in scholarship evaluation, postgraduate recommendation and job hunting, encouraging students to lay a solid academic foundation.
Meanwhile, Teacher Liang Zhifu encouraged students to actively participate in academic competitions, social practices, and cultural and sports activities while focusing on their studies, so as to enrich campus life and improve comprehensive quality. In terms of interpersonal communication, he advised students to communicate and cooperate with others in a sincere and inclusive manner to build a harmonious atmosphere. Considering the characteristics of the information age, he particularly emphasized the ability of active information acquisition, reminding students to break information barriers, and recommended a number of high-quality learning platforms and information channels. The activity was held in a warm atmosphere with frequent teacher-student interactions, and all students present benefited greatly from the session.
The "Face-to-Face with Teachers" series is an important initiative of the College of Marine Science and Engineering to advance the construction of the one-stop student community. This semester, the college will keep inviting more professional teachers to the student community and provide regular, targeted tutoring to support students' growth and development.
