To help Grade 2025 students clarify their academic development directions at an early stage, view the postgraduate entrance examination situation rationally, and establish a positive learning attitude and clear goals, the College of Marine Science and Engineering launched the themed educational activity Clarifying Directions with Data and Promoting Academic Atmosphere through Role Models in the Bangjian Lecture Hall on the evening of April 6.

At the beginning of the activity, Counselor Peng Yujie systematically sorted out and analyzed the college's postgraduate admission data of all majors over the past three years, covering application rates, admission rates, distribution of target institutions and major matching degrees. She pointed out that competition for postgraduate entrance exams has grown increasingly fierce in recent years. Nevertheless, many students from all majors in the college have been admitted to Double First-Class universities and top research institutes in the industry. This fully reflects the college's high-quality talent training and sets valuable examples for freshmen to follow.

Based on the data analysis, the activity put forward three suggestions for all freshmen centered on three key points: mentality, planning and action. First, stay free from anxiety and avoid slackness. Second, make phased plans with clear priorities. Third, start right now and begin with small things.

This activity serves not only as a special analysis of the postgraduate entrance examination situation, but also as an academic style construction mobilization for freshmen. Adopting a data-driven, case-led and practical guidance approach, it helps students establish a comprehensive understanding of academic development and a proactive awareness of action at the early stage of college life, laying a solid foundation for creating a grade atmosphere featuring diligent learning, thoughtful inquiry and clear goals.
