On the morning of March 24, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a work arrangement and kick-off meeting for the next stage of engineering education professional accreditation in Conference Room 148 of the Administrative Building. Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the College Party Committee, and Feng Daolun, Deputy Secretary of the College Party Committee and Dean, attended the meeting. Heads of various majors and key teachers also participated. Guo Jiamin, Vice Dean for Teaching, presided over the meeting.
At the meeting, Secretary Wang Weiyi and Dean Feng Daolun respectively made work arrangements and delivered guidance. They fully affirmed the preliminary work of each major, and emphasized taking engineering education accreditation as an opportunity to further promote the connotation construction and high-quality development of majors. It was hoped that all majors would fully mobilize the enthusiasm of all teachers, build consensus, encourage full participation, and make every effort to complete all follow-up work. The college will make overall planning and provide full support in policies and resources to ensure the smooth progress of professional accreditation.
Teacher Zhang Le from the Academic Affairs Office was specially invited to provide guidance. Combining the overall progress of the university, Teacher Zhang Le introduced the general situation of engineering education professional accreditation, sorted out key points and suggestions for the work, and elaborated on university-level support policies and resource guarantees, offering clear guidance for the college to advance work in the next stage.
During the discussion session, key teachers from various departments spoke freely on professional accreditation, shared their preliminary work experience based on actual conditions, and focused on the division of labor and implementation of follow-up work on the basis of previous progress.
This meeting further clarified the work objectives and key tasks of the college for the next stage of engineering education professional accreditation, laying a solid foundation for the orderly development of follow-up work.
