On March 18, the Marine Environment Student Party Branch and the 2024-grade Environmental Engineering Youth League Branch jointly launched the themed activity Carry Forward the Spirit of Lei Feng through Party-Group Co-construction, Take the Lead in Volunteer Services. Members of the Pioneer Service Team of the Marine Environment Student Party Branch, Party activists majoring in Environmental Engineering, and student representatives from the 2024-grade Environmental Engineering Youth League Branch participated in this special volunteer activity in honor of Lei Feng.Students carefully wiped desks and railings in the public areas of the college building, rearranged disorderly parked electric vehicles and bicycles around the building, and cleaned up fallen leaves and garbage in public campus areas. These efforts greatly improved the cleanliness of the campus and college buildings, while promoting environmental protection awareness and green and civilized travel. All participating students expressed that they were proud to leverage their professional strengths to beautify the campus during Lei Feng Spirit Month. They hoped to set an example to encourage more peers to advocate civilized travel and environmental protection, inherit and carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng, and develop the habit of caring for people and things around them.
In recent years, the Marine Environment Student Party Branch has established the Marine Environment Pioneer Service Team through Party-Youth League co-construction. Giving full play to the guiding role of Party building in leading League development and the exemplary role of academic majors, the Party branch has actively organized students to participate in volunteer services on and off campus.Such practices guide students to proficiently grasp and apply professional knowledge, solve practical environmental problems, support public welfare development, and facilitate civilized progress through integrating learning with practice. The branch encourages students to internalize and embody the Spirit of Lei Feng in daily deeds, carry out regular public welfare services, and further promote the implementation of marine ecological civilization concepts.
