Recently, the School of Marine Science and Engineering has organized a series of themed activities to foster students’ love for and pride in the university. Through thematic evening roll calls and other forms of education at all grade levels, the school has carried out in-depth publicity and education, guiding students to strengthen their sense of identity by learning the university’s history and cultivate affectionate devotion to the campus through active participation in various activities.
During the activities, counselors of all grades organized students to watch the university’s promotional video, which vividly presents the university’s development journey and school-running characteristics. The video helps students gain an in-depth understanding of the university’s history and current development, and enhances their sense of identity, belonging and pride. Combining their personal experiences, counselors emphasized that every student serves as an ambassador of the university’s image. They encouraged students to safeguard the university’s reputation with practical actions and integrate personal growth into the overall development of the university. All grades mobilized students to actively participate in themed essay competitions, photography contests and school history knowledge quizzes, so as to help them foster sincere love for the university through practical participation.
This series of themed activities has further refined and implemented the education of loving and honoring the university, consolidated ideological consensus, and pooled practical strength. It has laid a solid foundation for guiding students to forge ahead and achieve integrated development alongside the university.
