On March 8, undergraduate students of the 2025 grade from the School of Marine Science and Engineering attended the first evening roll call themed New Journey, Aspiration and Action for the spring semester. The meeting was presided over by counselor Peng Yujie.
Looking Back: Warm Memories Woven Through Time
At the start of the session, a semester recap video was played, taking students back to memorable moments of the first semester of their freshman year: sweating it out during military training, shining brightly at the welcome party, sharing laughter at class team-building activities, and burning the midnight oil for final exams. These familiar scenes brought back collective memories, filling the venue with a warm and touching atmosphere.
Reflection: Identify Shortcomings and Strive Forward
The counselor analyzed students' academic performance based on final exam results, and reported each class's average grade point average and failure rate. After reviewing the overall performance of the previous semester, she pointed out common problems among the grade in academic study, daily life and campus safety. Teacher Peng encouraged students to face up to their deficiencies and make timely adjustments. She urged everyone to achieve all-round progress in studies, living habits and safety awareness, and embrace the new semester with a better state of mind.
etting Sail: Unite as One to Embrace the Future
To tackle the problems from the previous semester, the grade will prioritize the following tasks: providing academic support, enforcing strict leave management, fostering a sound learning atmosphere, and conducting regular anti-fraud and safety education to reinforce security safeguards.
Teacher Peng addressed all students, encouraging them to set clear goals and strive for their dreams as they race ahead in their youth. This evening roll call served not only as a thorough review of past work but also a collective mobilization for the future, laying a solid foundation for the orderly progress of grade affairs in the new semester.
