On January 26, 2026, Feng Daolun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the College of Marine Science and Engineering, and Chao Zhiming, Vice Dean, led a delegation to visit CSCEC Port & Harbour Engineering Group Co., Ltd. for in-depth exchanges. They were warmly received by Liu Qijie, Deputy Chief Engineer and Executive Dean of the Offshore Engineering Research Institute, Xu Gang, Vice Dean of the Offshore Engineering Research Institute, and other representatives. The two sides held in-depth discussions on core topics including industry-university-research collaborative innovation, application for key laboratories, and talent cultivation, laying a solid foundation for subsequent all-round cooperation.
On behalf of the college, Feng Daolun introduced the disciplinary development, faculty team, talent training model, and the transformation of scientific research achievements. He pointed out that, as an enterprise with distinctive port and waterway engineering expertise, CSCEC Port & Harbour Engineering Group boasts abundant industrial practice resources and cutting-edge technology application scenarios. The college will further integrate high-quality educational resources and deepen cooperation with the Group in industry-education integration, scientific research, and talent development.
On behalf of CSCEC Port & Harbour Engineering Group, Liu Qijie gave a detailed introduction to the company’s practical experience and development plans in offshore engineering, infrastructure construction and other fields. He expressed the hope to strengthen communication and collaboration with the College of Marine Science and Engineering, so as to provide more support for the cause of offshore engineering and the college’s talent cultivation.
The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the establishment of innovation centers, application for key laboratories, industry-university-research cooperation guidelines, and talent training, jointly promoting the high-quality development of the offshore engineering sector.
The director and teacher representatives from the Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering of the college also participated in the exchanges.
