On January 26, 2026, Li Wei, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, led a delegation to visit our college for research and exchange. Feng Daolun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the College of Marine Science and Engineering, received the visiting guests. 

Feng Daolun extended a warm welcome to Secretary Li Wei and his delegation, and gave a detailed introduction to the college’s history, educational characteristics, faculty development, talent training, and scientific research. He noted that both colleges are important forces in the marine field, with broad space and great potential for cooperation in scientific research and talent training. He expressed hope that this exchange would enhance high-level collaboration between the two sides, help solve key challenges in naval architecture and marine engineering, and jointly pursue high-quality development.

 Li Wei provided a thorough overview of the history, discipline construction, current status, research capabilities, and representative achievements of the School of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology. He stated that he looked forward to taking this research visit as an opportunity to deepen cooperation in talent training and discipline construction, and jointly advance the development of naval architecture and marine engineering disciplines. 

During the meeting, participants held in-depth discussions on the theme of talent training. In the future, the two sides will further expand areas of cooperation and carry out practical collaboration in academic exchanges, talent visits, joint practice programs, and other fields, working together to promote the progress of the naval architecture and marine engineering industry. 

Relevant vice deans and program directors from both colleges attended the symposium.
