To celebrate International Women's Day, further care for the physical and mental health of female faculty and staff, build a warm and supportive communication platform, and guide women to care for and accept themselves, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held the first session of the Female Support Group themed "Grow from Within, Be Your Own Joy-Seeker" on March 6. Female teachers of the college gathered together to share a warm time and explore the power of self-growth through handicraft creation and heartwarming exchanges.
At the beginning of the event, the atmosphere was relaxed and cozy. Sitting around together, the teachers started the brooch-making session. They carefully selected materials, gave full play to their creativity and ingenuity, and completed each piece with careful stitching and pasting. From designing the shape to refining the details, every brooch was unique and carried a beautiful meaning of their own. The creative work with their fingertips not only allowed everyone to slow down and relax, but also helped them gain focus and peace of mind, experiencing the healing power and satisfaction brought by handicrafts.
Afterwards, the teachers engaged in warm exchanges. Setting aside the busyness of work, they empowered each other in light-hearted conversations, felt the warmth and strength among women, and gained a deeper understanding of caring for their inner selves and embracing who they are.
This female support group activity, with handicraft creation as a bond and spiritual communication as a bridge, enabled the teachers to relax both physically and mentally amid their busy work. It also guided them to explore inward and become "joy-seekers" who care for themselves.
In the future, the college will continue to hold such heartwarming activities to earnestly safeguard the physical and mental health of female faculty and staff, build a more caring communication platform, and help everyone face work and life with greater composure and confidence, shining with their own unique radiance.
