On December 12th, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a psychological case supervision meeting in Conference Room 408. Dong Chaoqun, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the college, Dong Haitao, a teacher from the university's psychological counseling center, and all the counselors attended the meeting.
Teacher Dong Haitao provided systematic guidance on the key points of supervision. He pointed out that as the postgraduate entrance examination approaches, efforts should be made to proactively carry out stress relief work through methods such as questionnaires, interviews, and group counseling. Special attention should be paid to the emotional guidance of students whose parents have overly high expectations. It is suggested that professional teachers be invited to organize theme groups to supplement and strengthen support. At the same time, it is necessary to continuously assist students who have academic difficulties, are under great pressure to write papers, and have tense mentorship relationships. In response to intertwined issues such as academic warnings and delayed graduation, he suggested establishing a dynamic tracking and assistance mechanism, integrating multiple forces to provide emotional support while systematically enhancing students' practical abilities such as academic planning. In addition, special attention should be paid to students who experience interpersonal loneliness, estrangement or conflict in dormitory relationships. Risks should be prevented through proactive care and timely intervention, and a supportive environment should be created. Vice Secretary Dong Chaoqun, in his summary, required all counselors to earnestly implement the supervision opinions, proactively carry out the investigation work, achieve precise support and effective intervention, and help students complete all the learning tasks and assessments of the semester with a healthy and stable psychological state.
This supervision meeting has clarified the key points and ideas for the mental health work of students in the final stage of the college, which is conducive to enhancing the pertinence and effectiveness of mental health education work, and providing more powerful support and guarantee for the healthy growth and all-round development of students.
