On the afternoon of December 17th, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a "Monthly Lecture Hall" and a concentrated political theory learning activity for teachers and students in the lecture hall of the Research building, focusing on the integration of industry and education to empower the cultivation of high-quality Marine professionals. Zhang Yi, director of the Personnel and Compensation Office of the Party-Mass and Human Resources Department of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., LTD., was invited to be the keynote speaker. Full-time Party members among the faculty, staff and students of the college attended. The event was presided over by Chao Zhiming, the vice president of the college.
Zhang Yi systematically sorted out the national strategic deployment on the integration of industry and education, and in combination with documents such as the "Outline of the Plan for Building an Education Powerhouse (2024-2035)" and the "Action Plan for High-Quality Development of Industry-Education Integration in the Lingang New Area (2025-2027)", clearly defined the policy orientation for deepening the connection between the education chain, industrial chain and talent chain. He focused on the case analysis of the "Ship and Ocean Engineering Industry-Education Integration Platform" jointly established by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Maritime University, introducing the multi-level cooperation model including the development of school-enterprise cooperative courses, the joint construction of enterprise mentors, the joint cultivation of postgraduate students, and the optimization of the internship and training system. It showcases the phased achievements made by the platform in talent cultivation and supply in recent years. Next, the college will continue to promote the in-depth and solid integration of industry and education, actively expand the platform for collaborative education between schools and enterprises, optimize the curriculum system and teaching mode, enhance the matching degree between talent cultivation and the development needs of the Marine industry, and strive to provide solid talent support for the construction of a maritime power.
This theoretical study focused on practical cases of school-enterprise cooperation, delving deeply into how to deepen the integration mechanism of industry and education, and enhancing the adaptability and effectiveness of talent cultivation in marine-related majors. At present, the shipbuilding major and the Materials major have respectively been approved for the "Intelligent Construction of Ships" and "Advanced Materials and Intelligent Processing and Manufacturing" school-enterprise cooperation special classes. The school and Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. have been approved as the first batch of industry-education integration bases in the Lingang New Area. Through continuous deepening of school-enterprise cooperation, Pang Liqun and seven others have been officially appointed as enterprise mentors, providing strong practical guidance for talent cultivation.
Zhang Yi is currently the director of the Personnel and Compensation Office of the Party-Mass Personnel Department of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering Co., LTD. He is an economist with over ten years of experience in human resources in shipbuilding enterprises. He has extensive experience in campus recruitment for fresh graduates, training and development of new employees, school-enterprise cooperation, and integration of industry and education.
