To enhance academic guidance and personalized instruction for students, the College of Marine Science and Engineering organized a "Face-To-Face with Teachers" full-time teacher on-duty activity in the student activity room of Building 60 on December 4th. Professor Zhu Wenwu from the Department of Environment was invited to give a lecture, focusing on key issues such as academic development, professional cognition, and career planning, providing systematic guidance for students of Marine Science.
The event broke the ice with self-introductions, quickly narrowing the distance between teachers and students. Subsequently, Teacher Zhu Wenwu focused on the core issues of college students' growth and development, and specifically explained the skills for improving English proficiency, preparing for Computer Level 2 and other certificates, as well as the practical value of participating in physical exercise and science and technology innovation projects, providing comprehensive guidance for the students to enhance their overall abilities. During the special topic discussion session, Teacher Zhu, based on the characteristics of the environmental engineering major, deeply analyzed the employment trends in the industry and the key points of career development preparation. At the same time, he provided detailed guidance on the learning difficulties, key knowledge and efficient learning methods of core professional courses such as "Organic Chemistry" and "Physical Pollution Control". The content was both professional and practical. During the final interactive Q&A session, students actively raised questions about academic planning, course breakthroughs, career choices and other issues. Teacher Zhu listened patiently and answered each question one by one, resolving their professional confusions in simple and understandable language.
This "Face-To-Face with Teachers" event has built a bridge for in-depth communication between teachers and students. It not only helped students clarify their learning ideas and development directions, further strengthening their professional identity and learning initiative, but also effectively narrowed the distance between teachers and students, breaking down the barriers in daily communication. In the future, the college will continue to regularly carry out academic lectures, experience sharing and other academic activities to create a favorable academic atmosphere of all-staff, all-process and all-round education.
