To further enhance students' autonomous learning ability and cultivate the integrity awareness of college students in the new era, on the evening of November 23, 2025, the evening roll call activity for the 2024 undergraduate students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering was successfully held. The evening roll call activity was hosted by Teacher Zhu Diyao.
The activity started with the "steep slope effect" that is widespread in the university stage and deeply analyzed the common predicaments that students encounter in terms of learning motivation, efficiency and methods. Teacher Zhu, taking "interest, sense of achievement and sense of purpose" as the three major sources of internal driving force, expounded on how to activate the deep motivation of personal learning. By combining typical cases of "false effort", she guided students to be vigilant against formalized and inefficient learning states and advocated that students formulate targeted improvement strategies based on their personal characteristics. To help students turn theory into action, Teacher Zhu systematically introduced time management tools such as the "Pomodoro Technique" and the "5-Second Start Rule", and shared specific techniques for creating learning Spaces and planning tasks. She encouraged students to start by overcoming procrastination and strengthening concentration, and gradually establish a systematic and sustainable autonomous learning system.
During the integrity education session, Teacher Zhu started from the historical connotation and practical significance of integrity, expounded on its specific manifestations in campus life, and emphasized that integrity and self-cultivation are not only the responsibilities of Party members and cadres, but also a "compulsory course" for the growth and success of every young student. She pointed out that the campus integrity culture is an important cornerstone for building a civilized and harmonious campus. She encouraged students to start from daily details such as taking honest exams, abiding by laws and regulations, and respecting rules, to practice the principle of "being an honest person and doing things in a down-to-earth manner", and truly internalize the awareness of integrity in their hearts and externalize it in their actions.
This theme education activity organically combines "learning ability" with "integrity education", hoping that all students will continuously enhance their learning ability and improve their self-management ability in their future studies and lives, fasten the first "integrity button" of their lives, and strive to become virtuous and talented young people of the new era.
