Recently, the closing ceremony of the 2025 Young Marxist Cultivation Project Training Class and the New Youth Red Research and Study Camp of the College of Marine Science and Engineering was successfully held in the Hangke Building. All the trainees of the 2025 Young Marxist Training Class of the college gathered together to witness the successful conclusion of the six-month training process.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Sun Hao, the deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the college, made a report on the graduation of the Young Marxist Training Class. He comprehensively summarized the four-dimensional training system of "theoretical study + practical tempering + ability enhancement + value shaping" constructed by this Young Marxist Training Class, elaborated on the implementation of a series of activities such as expert lectures, red study Tours, labor practice, and innovation and entrepreneurship training camps, and systematically sorted out the growth and progress made by the trainees in terms of ideological tempering, practical ability, and comprehensive quality. It also elaborated on the highlights, characteristics and improvement directions in the training work, bringing a phased conclusion to the current training work of the Young Marxist Project.
In the "Young Marxist Students Speak" session, the six groups took the stage in turn to report their learning achievements. Each group shared their growth and gains in the Young Marxist Training Class based on their theoretical learning insights, experiences of visiting the red area, achievements in subject competitions, and stories of volunteer services. From in-depth study of Marxist theory to on-site research and study at red bases such as the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Jinggangshan; From tackling difficulties in events such as the "Challenge Cup" and "Internet Plus" to making heartwarming contributions in public welfare activities like library services and volunteer services for the Shanghai Marathon, the trainees demonstrated the ideals, beliefs and sense of responsibility of the new generation of youth with detailed cases and sincere insights, and clarified their future direction of integrating personal development into the construction of a maritime power and a shipping power in the country.
Teacher Gao Rui, the counselor, summarized the activities of this Young Marxist Training Class. Drawing on his own experience of participating in the training class for college student leaders, he encouraged the trainees to cherish this high-quality learning platform of the Young Marxist Training Class, keep in mind the instructions of "Rectifying work style, forging ahead in the present, and leading to the future", and continuously deepen theoretical learning in their future studies and lives. He also encouraged them to actively draw on the strengths of their peers and make progress together through mutual learning and reference. He emphasized that he hopes the trainees will transform the future blueprint they have planned in their reports into down-to-earth practical actions, integrate the firm beliefs, excellent work style and practical skills they have cultivated in the Young Marxist Training Class into their daily lives, and strive to grow into new-era young people with ideals, a sense of responsibility, the ability to endure hardships and the willingness to work hard, contributing their youthful strength to the development of the country and the progress of society.
The ceremony concluded successfully with a group photo of all the teachers and students. This activity of the Young Marxist Project and the New Youth Red Study Camp has effectively enhanced the ideological and political quality and comprehensive ability of young students, laying a solid foundation for cultivating qualified young Marxists. The trainees all expressed that they would take this conclusion of the camp as a new starting point, keep their original aspirations and missions in mind, continue to strive on the journey, and let their youth shine with brilliant colors through dedication.
