On November 29th, the Party branch of the Port and Shipping staff of the college went to Hohai University to attend the second Party building forum - "Party Building Forum for a Strong Marine Nation", which was initiated by the "Party Building Consortium for a Strong Marine Energy Nation" and hosted by Hohai University.

During the forum, the Party branch listened carefully to the special sharing on the experience of building model Party branches by seven outstanding Party branch secretaries from seven universities across the country, including Southwest Petroleum University and Hohai University, and gained a lot. Representatives of the attending Party branches respectively engaged in exchanges and discussions on key topics such as "Empowering Marine Science and Technology Innovation through Party Building", "Cultivating High-level marine-related Talents", and "Coordinated Development of Industry-Education Integration". Ma Tingting, the secretary of the Party branch of the Port and Shipping staff of the college, made an exchange speech on the mutual integration and promotion of Party building and business work.

The successful holding of this Party building forum will further inspire the sense of mission and responsibility of Marine industry units to serve the country's Marine cause and devote themselves to the construction of a maritime power, consolidate the ideological consensus of "thriving and strengthening by the sea", and lead and promote the high-quality development of the Marine cause with high-quality Party building. Subsequently, the college will rely on the platform of the Party building consortium to deepen the integration of Party building and business, promote resource integration and complementary advantages, and actively contribute the strength and wisdom of the grassroots Party branches in the Marine industry.

Last December, led by Southwest Petroleum University and in collaboration with 15 other marine-related universities across the country, including Hohai University, the "Marine Energy Powerhouse Party Building Consortium" was jointly initiated and established. It has gathered the strength of Party organizations from universities, research institutes and industry enterprises, focusing on key scientific and technological breakthroughs and high-level talent cultivation in the Marine field, and striving to give full play to the role of the grassroots Party organizations as strongholds. It aims to provide a strong political guarantee for the construction of a maritime power.
