Recently, the "Red Classic Recitation Competition" of the College of Marine Science and Engineering and the closing ceremony of the 2025 Youth League School were successfully held in the Bangjian Lecture Hall, bringing the week-long training of the Youth League School to a successful conclusion. All the trainees were full of energy and gathered together. The atmosphere on the spot was solemn and enthusiastic.
The training system of this Youth League school is complete and the content is solid. In the middle and late November, the college organized a special discussion course, focusing on enhancing the capabilities and strengthening the responsibilities of the Youth League and student leaders, guiding the trainees to accurately anchor their positions in The Times and actively fulfill their mission and responsibility. The discussion closely revolved around the core theme of "Youth Growth and Responsibility under the Background of Chinese-style Modernization", and set four core topics around key dimensions such as youth development opportunities, paths for ability improvement, and role positioning in The Times. All the trainees were divided into 12 groups and engaged in in-depth exchanges and intellectual collisions around the selected topics, effectively deepening their understanding of the responsibilities of the youth and the mission of The Times. Some groups closely follow professional scenarios to explore the implementation path of "professional practice + youth responsibility". Some groups systematically sorted out the growth paths of young people through case analysis. The on-site discussion atmosphere was intense, achieving complementary thinking and cognitive consensus, and reaching the activity goal of "promoting growth through discussion and gathering consensus through communication".
During the red classic recitation session of the closing ceremony, the contestants passionately performed many red classic works around the theme. The sincere confession in "If There Is a Next Life", the heroic spirit in "Qin Yuan Chun - Snow", and the profound poetic sentiment in "Saying Goodbye to Cambridge Again" are presented one after another. Some are passionate and inspiring, while others are deep and touching, fully demonstrating the firm belief of the new generation of youth in inheriting the red gene and shouldering the great responsibility of rejuvenation. The contestants' wonderful performances deeply touched the audience on the spot, and the applause in the lecture hall was continuous.
At the closing ceremony of the Youth League School, Teacher Gao Rui, the counselor, delivered a summary speech for this session of the Youth League School. He highly affirmed the training effectiveness of the Youth League School, especially the trainees' style demonstrated in the special topic discussions and recitation competitions, and congratulated all the trainees on their successful graduation. Teacher Gao encouraged everyone to transform what they have learned at the Youth League School into practical actions, continuously enhance their ideological quality and comprehensive abilities, and strive to grow into capable new era individuals who can shoulder great responsibilities.
The trainees all expressed that through this systematic training at the Youth League School, they not only deepened their understanding of the mission of the youth but also reached a consensus on taking action.
