To thoroughly implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talent, enhance mental health education for college students, and improve their psychological adjustment capabilities, on the morning of November 24th, the College of Marine Science and Engineering successfully held a psychological theme activity titled "Refuse 'Banana Green', Reconcile with Emotions" in the "one-stop" student community. This class activity was led by the counselor Zhu Diyao. Through a combination of special topic explanations, interactive sharing and group support, it guided students to scientifically understand anxiety and actively deal with the pressure of growth.
At the event site, Teacher Zhu started with the Internet buzzword "banana green", systematically expounded on the psychological essence, common manifestations and formation mechanisms of anxiety, and analyzed issues of common concern to students such as academic pressure, appearance anxiety, social distress and employment confusion. Combining psychological theories such as the "Yerkes-Dodson Law", she provided students with specific coping strategies like "reasonable expectation goal setting", "behavioral practice desensitization", and "mindful breathing regulation", helping students build a psychological adjustment path of "cognitive-emotion-behavior" positive interaction.
During the interactive session, the event set up an activity called "Anxiety Note Exchange". Students write down their real anxieties on anonymous sticky notes. After random exchange, they write warm feedback for their classmates, building an emotional support community in the process of "listening - responding". Teacher Zhu also carefully prepared "green bananas" as the theme prop, using the vivid meaning of "handing over anxiety and moving forward lightly" to guide students to release stress and reach a consensus in a relaxed atmosphere.
The entire event was solid in content, novel in form and harmonious in atmosphere, achieving the dual goals of knowledge transmission and emotional support. The students expressed in the feedback that through the activity, they not only enhanced their scientific understanding of mental health, but also felt the warmth and strength of the collective, and their confidence in positively facing challenges was strengthened.
The college will continue to rely on the "one-stop" student community platform to deepen the effectiveness of psychological education, regularly carry out theme class meetings, group counseling and growth salons and other activities, constantly improve the mental health support system, create a good educational atmosphere that pays attention to mental health and promotes mutual growth, and safeguard the all-round development of students.
