On November 21st, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a financial aid policy briefing titled "Winter Sunshine and Love Walk Together" for the 2024 undergraduate students. The meeting was presided over by counselor Zhu Diyao, aiming to help students from economically disadvantaged families gain a deeper understanding of various financial aid policies.
At the meeting, Teacher Zhu first expressed the college's deep concern for the students' growth and success. She pointed out that a well-developed financial aid system is a solid backing for students to study with peace of mind and pursue their dreams bravely. She encouraged everyone to actively understand policies, make good use of resources, and turn temporary difficulties into the driving force for progress.
Subsequently, Teacher Zhu provided a comprehensive and detailed interpretation of the multi-functional financial aid system that integrates scholarships, grants, loans, work-study programs, and subsidies. The content covers the application conditions and procedures for the national student grant, the selection criteria for the National Encouragement Scholarship, the processing methods for student source credit student loans, the application channels for on-campus part-time jobs, as well as special assistance policies such as temporary hardship allowances. Through clear process explanations and vivid cases, Teacher Zhu transformed complex policy provisions into easy-to-understand explanations, ensuring that every student could understand, remember and apply them.
This event is not only a precise policy interpretation session but also a warm educational lesson. It is like a ray of sunshine in winter, illuminating the academic path of numerous students and conveying the college's student-centered work philosophy. The students said that the promotional meeting made them deeply feel the warmth. They will be grateful, move forward lightly, and repay this care with high morale and excellent results, writing their own youthful chapters on the broad stage of the college.
