In order to gain a deeper understanding of the actual needs and development concerns of students and guide them to actively offer suggestions for the development of the college, on the afternoon of November 19th, the postgraduate symposium of the 2025 academic year autumn semester of the College of Marine Science and Engineering was held in the 408 meeting room of the college. Dong Chaoqun, the deputy secretary of the college's Party committee, Chao Zhiming, the vice dean of the college, and representatives of postgraduate students from various majors of the 2025 grade attended the symposium.
The participating students engaged in exchanges based on their own situations regarding academic studies, life, and daily management, and raised their own questions and demands. Teacher Dong and Teacher Chao conducted in-depth analyses and provided explanations on the academic issues that the students were concerned about, and put forward several suggestions To adapt to the identity of a postgraduate student, change the learning mindset, make full use of various resources provided by the college and the research group, and continuously enhance the skills and professional knowledge required for learning in combination with AI. One should take the initiative to communicate with the supervisor, confirm the research direction as soon as possible, strengthen the study of the professional system, and emphasize that scientific research is a continuous exploration process. It is necessary to actively understand the employment directions of the major, make contact through multiple channels, and think and plan more.
This symposium provides a feedback and communication platform for postgraduate students, enhances their sense of cohesion and belonging, helps the college accurately grasp students' needs, and promotes the improvement of postgraduate training and service management levels.
