In order to thoroughly implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talent, and to enhance academic guidance and personalized instruction for students, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a self-study tutoring activity for full-time teachers in the one-stop student community of Building 60 on the evening of November 12th. This event has specially invited Mr. Ping Huan from the Shipbuilding Department of the college to be the main speaker. It is mainly aimed at undergraduate students majoring in shipbuilding. Through a combination of relaxed interaction and in-depth communication, it helps students better plan their study and research directions.
At the beginning of the activity, Teacher Ping Huan led the students to carry out the "Get to Know each Other" ice-breaking session. Through self-introductions and interactive Q&A, the distance between teachers and students was quickly shortened, creating a harmonious communication atmosphere. During the theme sharing session, Teacher Ping, with "goal Orientation and self-improvement" as the main thread, combined her own research and teaching experiences, and gave an in-depth explanation on topics such as research and employment planning, academic performance management, preparation for CET-4 and CET-6, and adjustment of academic mindset.
During the Q&A session, students actively raised questions about the difficulties of the course, the start of scientific research and career directions. Teacher Ping patiently answered them, analyzed them with specific cases and encouraged everyone to face their studies and life with a positive and enterprising attitude.
The "Face-To-Face with Teachers" self-study tutoring activity for full-time teachers in the college aims to bridge the "last mile" of communication between teachers and students, accurately respond to students' needs, and assist students in their growth and success. In the future, the college will continue to rely on the "one-stop" student community to regularly carry out activities such as academic guidance, research leadership, and experience sharing, and build a good academic ecosystem that involves all members, the entire process, and all aspects of education.
