On November 17th, the Party Committee of the college held a study session of the theoretical study center group. Wang Weiyi, the Party Secretary of the college, presided over the study session. The theme of this study is: Thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, take deepening comprehensive reform as the engine, and promote the high-quality development of the college's Marine characteristics.
The meeting emphasized that studying and implementing the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China is a major political task for the entire Party and the country at present and in the period to come. We should grasp the essence of the spirit through in-depth study and thorough understanding, and truly enhance the political, ideological and action consciousness of seizing the momentum and continuously advancing the modernization drive with Chinese characteristics. The meeting pointed out that it is necessary to have a profound understanding of the major achievements made in China's development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period and its historical position during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. We must have a profound understanding of the guiding ideology, major principles and main goals for economic and social development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period. We must have a profound understanding of the strategic tasks and major measures for development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
Secretary Wang Weiyi made a summary of the meeting: First, we should earnestly study, publicize and implement the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and coordinate the implementation of the spirit of the National Education Conference and the "Outline for Building an Education Power (2024-2035)". Second, closely align with national strategic and industrial demands, guided by the principle of "emphasizing service and making strong contributions", deepen the collaborative interaction between schools and enterprises, and actively implement the concept of "serving science and cultivating talents for industry". Third, taking the opportunity of the school's "one school, one policy" comprehensive reform and the construction of a pilot university (at the department level) for the comprehensive reform of the mechanism of fostering virtue and nurturing talent in Shanghai, and with the deepening of talent cultivation reform as the engine, we will promote the high-quality development of the college's Marine characteristics.
