To strengthen the construction of the grassroots youth League organizations in the college, standardize the work procedures of the Youth League and student union, and guide young students to firmly hold onto their ideals and beliefs and clarify their responsibilities and commitments, the Youth League School courses of the College of Marine Science and Engineering were held as scheduled on the afternoon of November 5th. Teacher Gao Rui, the counselor, student cadres Sun Hao and Luo Jingzhong from the College Youth League Committee, and Wang Lianyi, a student representative of the Study and Research Association, successively took the stage to share their experiences, bringing a rich and highly instructive training session on the Youth League and student affairs to the participants of the Youth League School.
At the beginning of the course, Teacher Gao Rui shared his insights on "The Mission and Responsibility of the Communist Youth League in the New Era" based on the actual work of the college's Youth League and student union. He emphasized that the Communist Youth League, as the assistant and reserve force of the Party, serves as a bridge and link connecting the youth. He encouraged the trainees to take the study at the League School as an opportunity to temper their character, enhance their abilities, and fulfill their responsibilities as youth in academic research and social practice, fully playing the vanguard and exemplary role of League members.
Luo Jingzhong, a student from the Organization Department of the Youth League Committee of the college, focused on the daily practical work of grassroots Youth League organizations, elaborately interpreted the filling norms, storage requirements and usage scenarios of the Youth League branch manual, and enabled the trainees to intuitively grasp the key points recorded in the manual through case demonstrations. At the same time, he systematically sorted out the key processes such as application for joining the League, assessment and training, and approval and acceptance, clarified the specific standards and precautions for each link, and provided clear guidance for the grassroots League branches to carry out the work of joining the League in a standardized manner.
Sun Hao, the student deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee of the college, gave a detailed explanation on the process of joining the Party, which is of common concern to young students. He elaborated on the core requirements of each stage step by step, from the submission of an application for Party membership, the cultivation and assessment of active applicants for Party membership, to the determination of development objects and the acceptance and confirmation of probationary Party members. In addition, he also provided supplementary explanations on relevant matters such as the planning of Youth League organization activities, the responsibilities of Youth League and student cadres, and the education and management of League members, helping the trainees to have a comprehensive understanding of the Youth League and student work system.
The lecture focused on analyzing the standards and requirements of the "Five Models", guiding young people to take having lofty ideals, studying hard, daring to struggle, working hard and being virtuous and kind as the benchmarks for their growth, and to firmly believe in "listening to the Party and following the Party".
This course of the Youth League School closely adheres to the core of the work of the Youth League and student organizations. It not only provides ideological guidance but also practical instruction, effectively enhancing the trainees' understanding and practical skills in the work of the Youth League and student organizations. The trainees all expressed that they would apply the knowledge they had learned to their actual work, devote themselves to the construction of the Youth League organization with greater enthusiasm, and contribute their youthful strength to the high-quality development of the Youth League and student work in the college.
