On the afternoon of November 5th, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held the "Women's Power · Empowering New Development" theme salon and the first event to care for young female teachers at Haifang Haike Coffee. Chang Huan, the deputy director of the school's Care for the Next Generation Working Committee, was invited to attend. Secretary Wang Weiyi first delivered the opening remarks for the salon. Starting with "beauty" and "art", he expounded on the significant role of aesthetic education in nurturing the soul and stimulating innovation. Closely integrating the study and implementation of the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the comprehensive reform arrangements of the school, he encouraged young female teachers to cultivate both their inner and outer qualities and integrate their personal development into the overall situation of national and school development. He emphasized that young female teachers are the "half of the sky" of the college's development. It is necessary to demonstrate the wisdom and charm of modern women in the positions of teaching and nurturing students as well as scientific research, and contribute the indispensable "she power" to the development of the college and the university.

She stated that the salon activities themed on beauty and art gather and distill the beneficial experiences of female teachers in teaching and nurturing students, scientific research and innovation, etc., create a warm and supportive atmosphere, and effectively stimulate the vitality and potential of the female teaching staff. From the perspective of personal cultivation and career development, I would like to encourage young female teachers to be good at discovering beauty, creating beauty and passing on beauty, balance work and life well, and achieve an all-round improvement in personal value. The "Encounter with Song Brocade · Intangible Cultural Heritage at Fingertips" handicraft session offered the teachers an immersive olfactory and creative experience. Under the guidance of professional teachers, the female teachers transformed into dedicated "life perfumers", carefully experiencing the tranquility of lavender essential oil, the joy of citrus essential oil, and the freshness of mint essential oil, allowing their bodies and minds to relax and ease.
The experience of making Song brocade extends beauty from the sense of smell to the fingertips. The colorful silk cloth, under the deft hands of the teachers, sparkles with a warm luster. When the exquisitely patterned and elegantly colored Song brocade gradually took shape in one's hands, a sense of achievement and respect for culture and art spontaneously arose. The teachers dropped the essential oil they had mixed by hand onto the homemade Song brocade tassels, experiencing a kind of "serenity" that could be carried around.
The teachers also had a relaxed yet in-depth exchange and discussion on topics such as career development, comprehensive school reform, and the advantages of women in the workplace.
