To thoroughly implement the fundamental task of fostering virtue and nurturing talent, and to enhance academic guidance and personalized instruction for students, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a full-time teacher on-duty Q&A session in the one-stop student community of Building 60 on the evening of October 30th. This event has specially invited Mr. Liu Boyang from the Materials Department of the college to be the main speaker. It is aimed at students of all grades in the undergraduate program and will have in-depth exchanges with them on the skills competition of the metallographic competition and answering questions about materials professional courses.

At the event site, Teacher Liu Boyang, drawing on his years of research practice and teaching experience, systematically sorted out core knowledge points such as materials physics, materials characterization techniques, and course design with "theoretical consolidation + skill improvement" as the core thread. In response to the common difficulties that students encounter in professional basic courses such as "Fundamentals of Materials Science" and "Materials Properties", this course conducts in-depth and easy-to-understand analysis through methods like case studies, helping students build a logical framework of "knowledge points - examination points - application points". Meanwhile, Teacher Liu, drawing on previous competition cases, provided specific guidance on competitions such as the metallographic competition and academic writing, as well as practical skills, offering a concrete path for the cultivation of students' academic abilities.

The interactive communication session was filled with a lively atmosphere. Students actively raised questions around their doubts about course learning, difficulties in competition preparation, and professional development directions. Teacher Liu responded meticulously, not only precisely answering specific questions but also guiding students to establish a learning concept of active thinking and drawing inferences by analogy, emphasizing the professional learning requirements that "theoretical learning should be rooted in practice and skill improvement should be based on norms."
