To help students master interview etiquette skills and enhance their competitiveness in the job search process, on October 25, 2025, the 2022 undergraduate students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a evening roll call activity with the theme of employment guidance on interview etiquette in Bangjian Lecture Hall, which was presented by counselor Lei Mengyu.

Teacher Lei, based on the actual job-hunting scenarios of students, used humorous and witty cases throughout the process. She elaborated in detail around the four core etiquette modules: In the "Appearance and Grooming Standards" section, by comparing cases such as "casual sweatshirts vs. business formal wear" and "casual makeup vs. appropriate light makeup", she clarified the dress style requirements for interviews in different industries and reminded students to match their image according to the characteristics of the position. In the "Body Language Skills" section, by combining negative examples such as "lowering the head and hunching the chest to show shyness" and "wandering eyes lacking confidence", standard sitting postures, gestures and eye contact methods are demonstrated to help students convey a positive job-hunting attitude. Focusing on "Communication and expression etiquette", this paper uses a dialogue case of "answering off the point vs. having clear logic" to explain the control of opening greetings, the speed of answering questions, and the measure of closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of sincere expression. In the "Interview Process Etiquette" section, through real cases of "being late and missing sign-in" and "forgetting to collect materials when leaving", the entire process of precautions from arrival preparation, interview interaction to leaving and closing is sorted out.

This themed evening roll call not only made up for the "compulsory course" of interview etiquette for the 2026 graduates, but also further strengthened their job-hunting competitiveness, providing strong support for students to smoothly break through the "last mile" of job hunting and helping graduates face the challenges of the workplace with a good attitude.
