To deepen ideological guidance, strengthen the safety defense line, and comprehensively enhance the comprehensive quality of students, on the evening of October 26, 2025, the "Navigating Youth, Empowering the Future" theme education evening roll call activity for the 2024 undergraduate students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering was successfully held. This evening roll call event was hosted by Teacher Zhu Diyao.
At the meeting, Teacher Zhu first gave a detailed explanation of the recent key matters such as the physical fitness test arrangements, the "Three Good" evaluation, dormitory safety, joining the Communist Youth League and the Party, and signing up for blood donation. She reminded the students to actively participate, plan their time reasonably, and maintain a good state of study and life continuously. Subsequently, Teacher Zhu introduced the background and significance of formulating the "Student Digital Literacy" standard, systematically explained the six core dimensions of digital literacy, and encouraged students to proactively enhance their abilities in information discrimination, network security, and data application, to become high-quality students of the new era.
During the anti-fraud and safe Internet usage education session, the teacher, through case analysis, particularly reminded the students to be vigilant against various "traps" in the online world, enhance their vigilance, protect their personal information, and master scientific and safe Internet usage methods, jointly creating a healthy online environment.
As the core part of this evening roll call, the "Senior Students Say" series of sharing activities has set sail again. This time, we have invited Wei Jinjin, a postgraduate student majoring in Materials for Ship and Ocean Engineering of the 2023 grade. With the theme of "Tempering in competitions and exploring in Research", she reviewed her growth journey from a complete novice in scientific research to a winner of the "Challenge Cup" competition. During the sharing, she not only elaborated in detail on the practical experience from project initiation to outcome refinement, but also vividly interpreted the fine academic style of students in the new era. She emphasized that it is precisely the accumulation of knowledge on a daily basis, the rigorous and realistic scientific research attitude, and the close collaboration among the team that have enabled her to remain composed and make breakthroughs on the field. Her experience has ignited the enthusiasm for scientific research exploration among the lower-grade students, set a tangible and perceptible example, and vividly demonstrated the power of passing on the academic atmosphere.
The theme of this evening roll call was clear and the content was rich. It integrated safety awareness with scientific research innovation, further enhancing the pertinence and effectiveness of the education.
