To strengthen the awareness of campus safety among the college students and improve their ability to identify and deal with various fraud behaviors, on the afternoon of September 27, all grades of the College of Marine Science and Engineering held a safety education-themed evening roll call activity in Bangjian Lecture Hall, with Mr. Liu Zhen from the Security Department serving as the keynote speaker.
Teacher Liu Zhen analyzed in depth the modus operandi characteristics of various common fraud methods, such as rebates for brushing orders, impersonating customer service, game leveling, fake shopping, and impersonating teachers and friends, based on several real fraud cases that occurred in the school. He reminded students to keep their eyes open and truly build a "firewall" for network security both in their minds and actions. Subsequently, starting from the reality of campus safety management, he popularized practical knowledge to the students, such as personal information protection and emergency disposal procedures after encountering fraud, hoping that everyone would be more vigilant when encountering various "risk warnings" and effectively safeguard their own network security. Finally, Teacher Liu Zhen emphasized particularly: "As college students, we should continuously enhance our ability to distinguish the authenticity of information, and must not relax our vigilance because of coveting temporary small gains or harboring luck."
This safety education themed evening roll call activity made the students profoundly realize that "safety is more important than Mount Tai, and prevention is better than disaster relief." Every moment of vigilance and caution is a strong safeguard for the safety of personal and collective lives and property. It is hoped that everyone will learn lessons from real cases, keep the safety alarm ringing in their hearts, and work together to build a safe, harmonious, and beautiful campus home.
