On the occasion of the 12th National Martyrs' Day, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering organized themed roll-call activities for all grades. These activities aimed to collectively remember history, cherish the memory of martyrs, inherit the red gene, and promote the spirit of patriotism.
This activity was carried out around three aspects: the origin of Martyrs' Day, the significance of its establishment, and the deeds of martyrs. With the help of rich historical documents and video materials, counselors sorted out in detail the historical context and practical necessity of the establishment of Martyrs' Day. This allowed students to step into that magnificent revolutionary era and feel the fearlessness of martyrs who laid down their lives and shed blood for national independence and national liberation. Precious historical images and touching heroic deeds deeply moved the students, making them profoundly realize the hard-won nature of today's peaceful life.
This themed evening roll-call activity not only gave all students a profound ideological baptism, but also further strengthened patriotic education. In the future, the College of Ocean Science and Engineering will further guide students to inherit the red gene, promote the spirit of patriotism, and foster a sense of family and country. It will strive to help students grow into new-era youth with ideals, responsibilities, and abilities, and inspire them to forge ahead courageously on the journey of the new era.
