On the afternoon of September 19th, Wang Weiyi, the Party Secretary of the College of Marine Science and Engineering, Dong Chaoqun, the Deputy Party Secretary, and Peng Yujie, the counselor for the freshmen of 2025, visited the military training site to extend their warm greetings to the freshmen of 2025 and the training instructors who were participating in the military training.
Secretary Wang Weiyi highly affirmed the students' high morale and outstanding performance of perseverance demonstrated during the training. He pointed out that military training, as an important part of the freshmen's orientation, is not only a key link to enforce discipline and strengthen the awareness of rules, but also an important platform to temper willpower and cultivate a tenacious character. He hopes that the students will cherish the military training experience and turn the gains into the driving force for growth. Vice Secretary Dong Chaoqun encouraged the students to take military training as a starting point, carry forward the passion and fighting spirit forged during the training to their future university studies and lives, constantly surpass themselves, and write their own chapters of youth.
Subsequently, the college leaders and teachers distributed consolation gifts to the students, bringing them coolness and care in the scorching sun. The students were greatly inspired and their enthusiasm for training grew even higher. They threw themselves into the subsequent training with an even more energetic mental state.
This visitation activity reflects the college's high regard for military training and its deep concern for the freshmen. The college will continue to do a good job in all the guarantee work for military training, assist the freshmen of 2025 in successfully completing the military training tasks, and truly enhance their physical fitness and willpower through military training, striving to grow into all-round developed new people of The Times in terms of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics and labor.
