To further strengthen the construction of academic atmosphere and unite student strength, the themed evening roll-call activity titled "Meeting in Pursuit of Light and Walking Together in the Light" for 2024 undergraduates of the College of Ocean Science and Engineering was successfully carried out on the evening of September 14, 2025. This activity was hosted by Counselor Zhu Diyao, who also gave a sharing session.
At the beginning of the activity, Counselor Zhu Diyao started with her personal background and job responsibilities. She gave a clear explanation on daily management, communication mechanisms, and basic campus norms, and expressed her vision of making progress and growing together with the students.Subsequently, combining the failure rates and GPA data of various majors from the previous semester, Ms. Zhu conducted an analysis. She guided students to face the current academic situation squarely, establish a positive learning attitude, and reminded them to pay attention to their mental state, adjust stress in a timely manner, and maintain a balanced study-life rhythm.
Building on this, Ms. Zhu took the three-dimensional evaluation system of "credits - GPA - comprehensive assessment" as the starting point. She encouraged students to proactively plan their career paths, clarify their personal development routes, and closely connect their academic development with career goals. Finally, Ms. Zhu gave a detailed explanation on recent matters such as course selection arrangements, comprehensive assessment calculation, and electric vehicle management, and extended a warm welcome to the new students who transferred majors. During the communication session, several transfer students introduced themselves one after another, which enhanced mutual understanding and interaction among everyone.
This themed evening roll-call integrated multiple contents including academic analysis, system interpretation, career guidance, and mental health care. It not only helped students clarify their academic goals and growth directions, but also further enhanced their awareness of self-planning and sense of belonging, creating a positive atmosphere for the new semester.
