Notice on the Application for Academic Scholarships for Doctoral and Master's Students of the College of Marine Science and Engineering in 2025
I. Application for Doctoral Student Academic Scholarship 1. Deadline: Before 16:00 on September 19th. Applications received after this time will not be accepted. 2. The application materials include: ① "List of Research Achievements of Doctoral Students (Academic Scholarship)"; ② Doctoral Academic Scholarship Application Form (printed on both sides, with the supervisor's handwritten signature. The recommendation should be targeted and not simply written as "agree"); Please pay attention to the "Research Participation Experience and Others" column. If you have no papers or patent achievements, please carefully fill in your research experience or other work during your doctoral studies, such as participating in your supervisor's projects. If this column is blank, you will not be eligible for recommendation. ③ Relevant supporting materials. Doctoral transcript; Copies of the first page of scientific research papers and patents; Copies of relevant award materials and certificates, etc. Among them, for SCIE, SSCI, EI and other papers, a proof of citation check issued by the library in the student's personal capacity (including the stamped proof page, detail page and classification page) must be provided. For CSCD, North Nuclear and other papers, a proof of citation check issued by the library in the student's personal capacity (with the official seal) must be provided. 3. Method of Submitting Materials ① All paper application materials should be submitted to Teacher Huang (for the 23rd and 24th grades) and Teacher Xu (for the 25th grade) at Room 301, Ocean Building. ② The electronic versions of the list of achievements and related supporting materials should be compressed into a file, and the naming format must be "Name - Grade - Major - Application Materials for Doctoral Academic Scholarship". After the class leader collects all the electronic materials of the students in this major, they should summarize the list of research achievements on one table (including those without achievements), arrange the student numbers in ascending order, and then package all the materials into a compressed file. The subject of the email must be "Grade - Major - Doctoral Academic Scholarship Application Materials". Send to the teaching secretary email wanglu@shmtu.edu.cn, otherwise it will not be accepted. Please read the following notes carefully: (1) The calculation of this achievement adopts a scoring system, with "points" as the statistical unit. If an achievement meets multiple scoring criteria, the highest score will be taken for scoring. (2) The achievements that students need to submit for inclusion in the statistics must meet the following conditions: 1. With "Shanghai Maritime University" as the first affiliation and the graduate student as the first author, or the graduate student as the second author and the supervisor (including the second supervisor) as the first author; Papers and patents with the third and subsequent authorship do not need to be provided. 2. All achievements must have been obtained by the postgraduate student during their study period, that is, from the date of enrollment until the start of the thesis defense work. 3. Achievements recognized by the detailed rules. Please do not submit any achievements other than the above three conditions. Ii. Application for Master's Degree Academic Scholarship 1. Deadline: Before 16:00 on September 19th. Applications received after this time will not be accepted. 2. The application materials include: ① Master's students of the 2025 grade: Submit the "Application Form for Scholarship for First-year Graduate Students", and simultaneously submit the "Application Form for National Scholarship for Graduate Students of Shanghai Maritime University". ② For the 2023 and 2024 graduate students: Submit the "Application Form for Comprehensive Academic Scholarship for Master's Degree Students (for Senior Students)". The application form should be printed on both sides and signed by hand by the supervisor. The recommendation opinions should be targeted and not simply written as "agree". ③ Relevant supporting materials. Transcript during the master's period; Copies of scientific research papers and patents; Copies of relevant award materials and certificates, etc. Among them, for papers indexed by SCIE, SSCI, EI, etc., a proof of citation check issued by the library in the student's personal capacity (including the stamped proof page, detail page, and classification page) must be provided. If the paper has been published online but not retrieved, the full text must be provided. For papers published in CSCD, North Nuclear, etc., a proof of citation check issued by the library in the student's personal capacity (with the official seal) must be provided. ④ "Attachment 2: List of Graduate Students' Research Achievements (Academic Scholarship)" No need to provide: ① Papers, patents, etc. with the third and subsequent authorship. ② Documents other than competition awards (such as class cadres, Youth League branch secretaries, volunteers, outstanding students, scholarships, CET-4 and CET-6 certificates, etc.). ③ National Marine Vehicle Design and Manufacturing Competition Regional competitions, Shanghai College Students' New Materials Innovation and Creativity Competition, etc. 3. The professional head will then hand them over to Teacher Huang (for the 23rd and 24th grades) and Teacher Xu (for the 25th grade).
