To effectively advance employment work and assist graduates in achieving high-quality and full employment, on September 14th, the College of Marine Science and Engineering held an employment mobilization meeting with the theme of "Decoding the Spirit of the Sword and Daring to Stand Out in the Workplace". The meeting was led by counselor Lei Mengyu, and all undergraduate students of the class of 2026 attended.
At the meeting, Teacher Lei Mengyu analyzed the employment situation based on actual data, introduced the overall scale of the 2026 batch of college graduates across the country, and elaborated on the employment rate, the proportion of postgraduate entrance examination and further education, and the distribution of popular employment units of the 2025 batch of graduates from various majors in the college, providing an objective reference for students to determine their career directions. Subsequently, Teacher Lei used the Anti-Japanese War TV drama "Sword Out" as an introduction to deeply interpret the core connotation of "workplace Sword out" in the new era. He guided students to establish a positive employment attitude from four dimensions: courage, determination, collaboration, and progress. He also provided a "battle guide" covering the entire process from job application preparation, resume submission, interview skills to offer selection. Finally, Teacher Lei elaborately introduced the school's support measures in terms of employment guidance, resource connection and assistance for those in difficulty.
The holding of this employment mobilization meeting has further strengthened the employment confidence of the 2026 undergraduate students. The students expressed that they would take the "Sword spirit" as a guide, make solid preparations and actively seek jobs. Next, the college will continue to integrate high-quality employment resources, carry out a series of activities such as employment guidance and experience sharing in depth, constantly improve the multi-level employment service system for graduates, and assist students of the College of Marine Science in developing the ocean and striving for strength by the sea.
