Recently, the 14th National Marine Vehicle Design and Manufacturing Competition came to an end in Wuhan. This event is a high-level shipbuilding and Marine competition jointly organized by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, the China Shipbuilding Society, the International Organization for Ship and Ocean Engineering Innovation and Cooperation, etc. It aims to promote the cooperation among industry, academia and research in the shipbuilding and Marine field and the construction of disciplines, and closely link moral education and talent cultivation with the national Marine strategy. The Zhichao Haike team, guided by Associate Professor Ding Yi from the Department of Marine Environment, School of Marine Science and Engineering of our university, won the second prize in this national competition.
In recent years, Teacher Ding Yi has closely responded to the needs of the national Marine development strategy and carried out talent cultivation and scientific and technological innovation activities around the school's Marine characteristic disciplines. The Zhichao Haike team is mainly composed of students majoring in environmental engineering. Relying on the Marine environment Party and Youth League co-construction platform, they carry out scientific and technological innovation and practical activities, focusing on the research and development of monitoring and resource exploration technologies for Marine pollutants. The aim is to enhance the utilization of Marine resources and the level of economic development, as well as improve the quality and appearance of the Marine ecological environment. The team will continue to deepen the innovative education model with the strong support of the College of Marine Science and Engineering, solve technical problems in the field of ships and oceans, enhance students' innovative awareness and ability through the integration of industry and education, and further consolidate students' professional practical ability and their aspiration to serve the country through science and technology.
