In order to thoroughly implement the requirements of talent training in the new era, comprehensively improve the innovative thinking and practical literacy of young students, and deepen the connotation of patriotic education, on the afternoon of June 23, the 2025 Youth Horse Class and New Youth Red Research Camp CityWalk Red Search practical research results report meeting of the School of Marine Science and Engineering was successfully held.
Through the mode of offline visit and online expansion, this red search activity has effectively promoted the transformation of red culture from cognition to identity, from emotion to action. In the early stage, through the well-designed visit routes, each group went deep into the important red venues and relics engraved with the heavy party history and revolutionary spirit in and around Shanghai for immersive visits and learning, and in the report, they comprehensively shared what they saw, heard and thought in practice in various forms such as wonderful pictures, videos, and tables. Through the complete closed loop of studying history, learning theory, and practicing the mission, the students deeply realized that the red spirit is not only a monument of history, but also a mission that young people in the new era need to relay and inherit. The students expressed their firm determination to integrate the red gene into the blood of youth, take over the torch of faith from the hands of their ancestors, and inherit the faith and responsibility that spans a hundred years in hard work, and emphasized that in the future, they will consciously inherit the red gene, bravely shoulder the heavy responsibilities of the times, and strive to grow into a good young man in the new era who has ideals, dares to take responsibility, can endure hardships, and is willing to struggle.
Mr. He Haibo, Secretary of the Youth League Committee of the college, listened to the report and put forward constructive suggestions on deepening the content connotation of the achievement report and innovating the display form. Mr. He first affirmed the students' serious and dedicated attitude, rigorous and meticulous route design, rich and diverse learning forms and profound and sincere insights. He asked each group to further optimize the practical results and route design, condense the theme, form a red CityWalk route that can be promoted and replicated, and provide a directly usable resource package for the branch theme group day. He emphasized that young students should keep in mind the core purpose of this practice - to internalize the red spirit in their hearts and externalize it in their actions, break through the boundaries of thinking in the cognitive dimension, strengthen the transformation of practice in the dimension of ability, and cultivate the feelings of the family and country in the value dimension, transform what they have learned today into the use of tomorrow, truly integrate the red spirit into their daily life and future career development, reflect in the specific actions of serving the society and contributing to the country, and stand up and contribute to the great journey of building a strong country and national rejuvenation.
Through on-site visits, immersive experience and achievement transformation, this CityWalk Red Search practical research activity has created a three-dimensional platform for young students to learn history, understand the spirit and practice the mission, and guide young students to integrate the red gene into the blood of youth. In the future, the college will continue to deepen such practical education activities, encourage students to strengthen their ideals and beliefs in inheriting the red spirit, demonstrate their youthful responsibility in serving the development of the country, and make patriotic education glow with vitality in the new era.
