On May 30, 2025, Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Ocean Science and Engineering, Shanghai Maritime University, and Feng Daolun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the School of Marine Science and Engineering, went to CCCC Shanghai Harbor Engineering Design and Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as Harbor Institute) to carry out research and exchanges, and were warmly received by the Harbor Institute.
Wang Weiyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and Wang Guangjian, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Gangwan Institute, jointly affirmed the achievements of the past school-enterprise cooperation between the two sides and were full of confidence in the breadth and depth of future cooperation. The two sides agreed that the current national scientific and technological development is accelerating the transformation from interest-oriented to industry/industrial demand-oriented, emphasizing that it is necessary to adhere to the real research and development, real investment, and real application, and effectively break the bottleneck of scientific and technological development, so as to effectively promote the high-quality development of the industry and industry.
Feng Daolun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of the College, introduced the professional setting, the progress of discipline construction and the advantages of scientific research characteristics of the college. At the same time, we hope that the institute can give full play to its advantages in engineering technology and resources, actively support the construction of port and shipping majors and the development of disciplines, and the college is willing to carry out in-depth cooperation with the institute in collaborative education, joint project research and development, transformation of technological achievements, etc., so as to jointly promote the high-quality development of the field of port and shipping engineering.
Luan Hong, President of the Institute, introduced the organizational structure, development history and strategic planning of the Institute in detail, and focused on the outstanding advantages and innovative achievements of the Institute in the core fields. At the same time, he expressed a strong willingness to cooperate, hoping to join hands with colleges with highly compatible scientific research expertise to jointly carry out key technology research and promote the technological progress of the industry.
Wu Feng, Vice Dean of the Institute, reviewed the long-term close cooperation between the Institute and the port and shipping majors of the Institute, pointed out that many alumni have grown and developed in the Institute, and looked forward to expanding the space for cooperation between the two sides in a broader field in the future.
This research activity has laid a solid foundation for the deepening of strategic cooperation between the School of Marine Science and Engineering of Shanghai Maritime University and CCCC Shanghai Harbor Engineering Design and Research Institute. Focusing on the national strategic needs and the pain points of industry development, the two sides discussed the path of cooperation in depth, providing new ideas and new directions for the future development of school-enterprise collaborative education, joint scientific research, and promoting the efficient transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Both sides expressed that they would actively promote the implementation of the consensus on cooperation.
